This past weekend I trained in the annual Skintrack Fall Camp. Every year before the season starts many of the Cnd Skimo crew get together and hammer it out on trails under the direction of our skimo guru, Stano Faban.
In it’s 4th year running, the venue was the stunning Lake Louise area, and it did not disappoint. Snow peaked mountains mixed with the fall colours provided inspiring views throughout the weekend. We ran past majestic lakes and through glorious mountain passes. We summited Paget Peak with views of the Wapta icefields. It was breathtaking.
Training alone has many perks, but training as a team also provides advantages. The kilometers and vertical meters fly by as conversation and laughter flows. It’s great motivation to start preparing for the upcoming ski season. It adds variety away from the mundane. And its soooooooooo much fun!
So get out there- grab a friend- and be inspired!
