Rogers Pass has always been a magical place filled with great powder, high fives, and mile high smiles. Today did not disappoint.
Mitch and I headed up to Perley Rock for a fantastic day of touring. We started from Illecilleweat parking lot, which I was excited about, as I still find walking by glacier house ruins a treat. That area is so steeped in history.
We meandered through the forest poking our way up the slopes and enjoyed breathtaking views of the glacier below. Atop Perley rock the sun peaked out for a few minutes and we got our tan on…. for about 3.5 min. The skiing was fun so we lapped the area and then were treated to pillows and partly covered trees on the lower half of the descent.
Two thumbs up for another awesome day in Rogers Pass.
