Flying Solo

Alone time- this is a foreign concept in our modern fast paced world.  Scheduling conflict with partners forces me outside on my own from time to time.  These are days I have learned to cherish and time I take to get re-acquainted with myself.

Occasional solitude is food for the soul.  It helps quiet the ongoing noise and allow us the opportunity to look at life with different perspectives, without anyone else blocking the way.

Last weekend I was afforded this opportunity with a day to myself at Louise.  My mind was free as I followed the lines my skis wanted to take. I repeated runs multiple times until my spirit wandered elsewhere. I boot packed as fast as I could.  I didn’t take breaks.  My face absorbed the sunshine and peace moved through my blood.  All in all- it was AWESOME!
